FRED GARTH
During his 25-year career in journalism, Fred D. Garth has worked for media giants Gannett, the New York Times, Primedia, EMAP, and Petersen Publishing. Starting out as a sport’s writer for the Times-Daily newspaper in Florence, Alabama, Garth went on to serve as editor for numerous national magazines and is the current Editor-In-Chief of Guy Harvey Magazine. He has contributed to dozens of books, films, and groups such as the Cousteau Society and National Geographic Explorer Television.
In 2005 Garth left the magazine business to focus on writing fiction. To date, he has completed three novels – The Cure, Press Trip, and A Good Day to Live. Garth lives in Florida with his wife and two daughters. He is currently working on his fourth book, Expanded Horizons.
