Description:
Estella's Escape from her life as an orphan seemed promising. She was looking forward to leaving the dark dreary alleys of Seattle and attending college at a small institution in the North Cascades. There, she hoped to find out the secrets to her mysterious past, and her strange magical talents. As she settles in, she is suddenly shrouded by the world of a life she never knew she'd lived, in a place that was more like home than anything before. Follow Estella as she untangles a web of mysteries, and finds that her life had always been guarded, whether dead, or alive.
A new Fantasy/Fiction series that is sure to tickle your senses, and drag you in.

It was delightful to see a writer that challenged the rules. There were certainly a few OMG moments in store for me here, but in the end well deserved. A lot of times I can't handle mysteries, I'm always the one to ask "what happens in the end," in the middle of a story.
This book is perfect for anyone wishing they had more from life. And it certainly left me wishing that things like what happens in this book truly exist. It's a grown up version of Harry Potter meets a less complicated Lord of the rings, with a bit of Twilight thrown in.
After reading a few first pages from book two, Guardian. I'm really on board for the next installment.
